The 2008 Super Duty, Heavy Duty Ford’s F-250

Another sure bestseller from Ford has come our way as 2008 F-250 adds to the Ford’s line up.

This design has been created by a team headed by Ford North American Design Director Peter Horbury. Name all the features and F-250 has it, massive, powerful, elegant and distinctively American design. Add to that is a revamped interior, a new diesel engine, and big-truck capacity.

This model is accessible in three cab styles: Regular Cab, Super Cab and Crew Cab.

Ford change a bit of its exterior and more of its interior and mechanical, safety, lighting, etc.

Innovated features include the following:

  • A new 6.4-liter Power Stroke diesel
  • Twin sequential turbos for linear boost
  • A particulate filter that brings emissions down to a level similar to that of an equivalent gasoline engine
  • Power output has been improved to 350 horsepower
  • With 650 lb-ft of torque available at 2000 rpm
  • 6.7-liter Cummins engine
  • New-designed five-speed Torque shift transmission
  • less aggressive 3.73 rear gears
  • A six-speed manual
  • Fuel tank capacity ranges from 30 gallons to 38 gallons (depending on model)
  • An integrated, factory-installed Tow Command trailer brake controller
  • Power telescoping trailer-tow side mirrors with memory
  • Adjustable pedals
  • Foldable/storable bed extender
  • Handy tailgate step (with a telescoping pole/grab handle, too)
  • Redone interior
  • Main cluster is anchored by a tach to the left Speedo to the right, with four smaller secondary gauges in between (including a transmission temperature and boost gauge with the beefy diesel engine)
  • Rugged-looking chrome trim rings surround the vent outlets
  • Baseball-style leather
  • Wood grain appliqués
  • Contrast color on main dash pad
  • Contrast color on glove box
  • Contrast color on door panels

According to Ford those features put in momentous functionality as well as convenience to the Big F-250.
